Mining indie rock, country, and the worst of basic cable, The Longwalls make American pop music.

Featuring ex-Gatsby (...have been likened to Hüsker Dü, Heatmiser, Guided by Voices, The Feelies and Das Damen...they've earned the comparisons. –Splendid) principals Alan Wuorinen and Brandon Comstock with Dan London (frmr. Nag Champa) and Kurt Von Stetten, The Longwalls' home-brewed debut, Field Guide for the Zombie Survivalist, is a cascading picture book of persons, places and things--living and undead. With cinematic songs about redheads, zombies, God, painkillers, good jobs and really bad ones, The Longwalls stalk a line from classic indie rock to big-twang Americana––with a few heady stops along the way.

All songs by Alan Wuorinen (c) 2008 BMI. Music by Alan Wuorinen and The Longwalls. Recorded by the Longwalls at Boston Music Studios and Kurt's home studio February-June 2008. Mixed and mastered by Mike Quinn and the Longwalls at Moontower Studios, Cambridge, July and August 2008.
