Recording @ The Moontower

1st post on the Staticmotor.com blog, I thought I’d keep it brief…
1st off, good time playing @ Club Bohemia downstairs in the Cantab in Cambridge last night. Good to see some friendly faces out there, and for once it didn’t snow like a bastard when we played in December (I’m sure most won’t remember our record release show for Field Guide, as there was like 2′ of snow at it last december).
The longwalls are back in the studio recording @ the moontower, and have made some decent progress…Tomorrow morning we’ll head back in and do some overdubs, and make some asthetic choices about additional instrumentaion on the songs we’ve put down so far. I’m glad that we are putting out this group of songs soon, instead of waiting for more songs to develop so that we can put out a “full length”…I feel like if there is too much room in the “development” cycle, some songs are going to end up sounding disconnected or unrelated to others…
